I would like to take a moment to introduce myself to clubs and contacts across the Midwest area of who I may not know real well and how I can help you with the products and services I represent for the Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, & Nebraska region. I am a former PGA Professional with experience from 1992 to 2005 on both the private club and public sector of the golf industry. Since 2005, I have been a sales representative, utilizing my experience as a club pro to help my accounts. I graduated in 1995 from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan with a degree in Marketing emphasizing the Professional Golf Management Program, originally started at Ferris State in 1975. As a former club pro, I was able to experience many different settings including durations in Michigan, Colorado, Florida, Arizona, Texas and Oklahoma. With CC of the Rockies in Vail, CO and Bent Tree CC in Dallas, TX as some of my keynote locations, I understand the green grass club pro side of the industry and the day to day challenges you face. Based on my experience in these different settings, I feel I can relate to what you see, hear, and witness every day.
Hopefully a bit different from your ordinary golf sales representative, I feel my position is to inform you of products and services I represent and visit/consult with you on whether they are a good fit for your operation. You know your operation the best and I want to know what is happening both professionally and a bit personally as I know this industry takes away from family time. Whether it is finding products that are going to be a huge hit at the shop or during a tournament or products and services that save you money with budgets, my time with you will be quick and effective. I recall as a Director of Golf in Oklahoma City in 2004, a sales representative made a 1:00 p.m. appointment with me. At 4:30 p.m., he finally left my shop. All I could say is “Wow, I don’t know how I stomached that 3 ½ hours”. I will never do that to any of my accounts including you. I thrive on working fast, efficient and effectively for you, making sure your shop or tournament product is no less than awesome and letting you tend to your duties as a club professional/retailer.
